Safely shaving

For decades I used Atra and Atra Plus blade cartridges for shaving. I also used cheapo Barbasol shaving cream. My stepfather used an electric when I started growing whiskers, and my stepbro was well out of the house. I didn’t think it made a difference.
Boy was I wrong.
When I couldn’t find the blade cartridges, I decided reluctantly to switch to a safety razor. I’ve never looked back. In bulk, I can get hundreds of blades for what four or five cartridge packs costs.
I’ve no idea how long a razor blade lasts. I know I get six shaves no problem. Towards the end with the cartridges, I was lucky to get three good shaves, five was pushing it.
And my face feels much better.
Anyway, I discovered West Coast Shaving. They supply my blades and my shaving soap, Taylor of Bond Street. I started with that brand just so I wouldn’t have to mess with a separate bowl. Now I don’t care what other brands are out there, Taylor works great for me.
