Morning routine
One thing about Asperger syndrome is we Aspies love our patterns. One of my companions asked about my morning routine which varies vary little.
Weekdays my trusty iPad Touch has an alarm at 4:33, weekends it goes off at 5:13. Mostly I am awake before then.
I grab a quick bite and read the funnies and news on my iPad Air. Then I do a run through the kitchen and load the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Usually this is a day's worth. If one of my companions is sleeping over I'll put the coffee on.
Saturday mornings I dye my beard (it's WAY grayer than my hair). It takes time, which is why I do it first on Saturdays.
Then I do my constitutional. I'll read my bathroom book. Afterwards I wipe down the commode seat and rim with Clorox disposable wipes.
I'll trim the odd out of place whisker, Fridays I'll trim the back of my beard and the front and back edges of my sideburns.
Next I wash my face using mainly water. I'll fill the neti pot for after my shower.
Afterwards I'll lotion up my hands (I hate dry flakey hands).
I jump in the shower. I lather up my hair and beard, then my genitals using shampoo. I put bodywash on a washcloth and do the rest of my body.
I rinse out my hair and beard first, then lather up again. Then I rinse off my body. One great thing about the shower massage head is I can rinse off the undercarriage,
While my hair is still soapy, I comb with a broad tooth comb to untangle my hair. Then I rinse my head again.
Depending on how I am feeling, I may stand under the shower massage a bit. Out of the shower I towel off my hair and face. No need for the rest , I'll dry by the time I finish the rest.
Neti pot time. It's uncomfortable but it keeps my sinuses under control..
Then I brush my hair straight back. Weekdays I wet my shaving brush and tap it on the sink, then I shake it in the shower. I lather up with shaving soap, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I'll lather up my neck too. It helps keep my neck clean. Then I'll shave. I'll rinse my face and neck
Then I clean my glasses. I get dressed and pull on my pendant.
Time to make a meal for my companion. I'll usually have tea and toast with them.
