Bow Master
In the last few years, I’ve also revised my opinion about experts and masters, largely because of this Zed A. Shaw piece called The Master, The Expert, The Programer. My own take is pretty simple.
So the Expert tries to wow you with complication while the Master will do it simply and precisely. The Expert can be overwhelmed by their own efforts while the Master just adapts. That certainly describes one part of human nature. Understanding and precision mark a Master, who "can do more with less."
I’ve never seen a better example than this:
If that man is not a master, I do not know what one is. No gimmicks, no extras, just a man and a bow and some arrows.
