PrintBoy on the Palm TX - Review

What a great idea! Printing directly from your Palm through IR, Bluetooth, or WiFi. Pity it doesn't play nice with an Apple AirPort Extreme.

Bachmann's PrintBoy was one of the programs I was most excited about. We're talking extreme geek factor. Somebody wants some information, so I could whip out the Palm and print it out, wirelessly, no connection.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work at home, which is where I would use it most.

I think it has something to do with Apple's Bonjour (formerly Rendezvous). My printer at home is plugged directly into an AirPort Extreme (WiFi router).

I played with the thing for about five days trying to get it to work. Not so much as a peep. I even went so far as to invite a friend with a Dell notebook in the house to print a test page. No problem.

So this program has to go in the nice idea file.
