Posted on Sat - July 22, 2006 Palmary Clock on the Palm TX ReviewWhen I found that BigClock wouldn't work with
the alarms from TechSounds, I started looking for a more flexible clock
program.
Palmary Clock is going to be my new main clock
program.
It has a great feature list. Besides the clock with full skins and backgrounds, it does Moon Phases. Great for the astronomer or Pagan. The moon phase screen is gorgeous in color. Good thing too because my old moon phase program doesn't work under Palm OS5. The Atomic Time Sync is great. My Palm slips out by two to three seconds a day. It does wireless currency conversion. Not sure where I will use it, but it is a cool feature. It does weather forecasts. Good but flawed, more on that in a moment. It does a fantastic looking world clock with the daylight lines. I don't have an expansion card yet, so I haven't tested the alarms as much as I should. Although I do wish it had more compatibility with TechSounds5. It can chime on the hour. Now, it does have some flaws. You can add cities, but you can't add weather updates. So I can get a up to date forecast for Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Saint George, but there are ten or fifteen rural towns I would like to get forecasts for but can't. Still, well worth the money. |
Hello There
This is my no frills blog to cover all the gadgets and gizmos and technology that makes 21st Century life so exciting. Think of it as a messy set of notes that I keep for myself on all sorts of topics. It's really intended for my personal use, but I will explain sometimes as I go along.
My passion is for Macintosh and other Apple products, but I will use others as needed. If my notes and experiences can help or amuse you, so much the better. Categories
