Bedroom music

A computer music library makes much more sense than juggling CDs and tapes. Before I had an iPod, I had my computer connected to an old stereo to wake me up. These days I am a little more sophisticated.

The iHome iPod clock radio available from Hammacher Schlemmer works perfectly as a clock radio, but it also cradles/recharges my iPod. The sound is very good, not quite in the same class as the Bose Wave radio, but much better than the average clock radio.

Best of all was the price. It was under $100.

There are a few drawbacks. I wish there were controls to do more than turn the iPod on and off. You have to cue up the music you want.

But still it is a worthy gizmo and it sits next to my bed.
