Posted on Sat - July 8, 2006 Changing plansWell, in the wake of my stepfather's
dementia, I've given this blog the short shift. That is going to change a bit.
My Palm m515 died yesterday, it needs a new battery. If it were just a matter
of swapping the battery, I'd probably pay the $30 and get a new one until I can
get the backup thing going and upgrade my Macs to 10.4.
That's not really an option though. It seems
that at installation the battery is glued to the screen. I'm not sure I can remove
it without damaging the screen, and I don't think I am good enough to put in a
new screen.
So I ordered a new TX from Amazon and it is on the way. I'll be juggling things for a bit to do what I want, but I will be on the way. The big hardware items that I didn't get are a 4 GB memory card and a Bluetooth keyboard. Those will have to wait a bit. Meanwhile I will be using this blog more to track my transition and do some planning. |

This is my no frills blog to cover all the gadgets and gizmos and technology that makes 21st Century life so exciting. Think of it as a messy set of notes that I keep for myself on all sorts of topics. It's really intended for my personal use, but I will explain sometimes as I go along.
